Outsideleft.com was established in Los Angeles in 2004, an online magazine featuring music, arts and culture broadly ignored elsewhere. Outsideleft is inspired in some ways by California's 1960s Assemblage Artists, the UK's late '70s fanzine publishers and the New York post-punk scene, outsiders all. Imagined as a curated space, where anyone with a story to tell can connect with a like-minded community. 20 years on, now here we are still. Fiercely Independent.
